tyler tyler....

so its been a little bit of a long month... as many of you know ty was in a serious climbing accident. i havent quiet known what to say about it all, so here is a quick and dirty version..on may 17th, ty, myself, will and adam made a weekend trip down to indian creek for some climbing. long, long story short, sat morning ty was on a pretty difficult climb, the climb was thin, small and ty couldnt quiet make it to the chains when the fall happened. a piece pulled which resulted in ty falling 50 or more feet and hitting the ground. adam ran for help, will and i held ty thinking of what to do. luckily there were a few climbers on distant walls that heard the screams, came running and helped save tys life. a few of the climbers had been EMT trained, one man was on search and rescue, someone had a satellite phone who had called for help, needless to say these people knew what to do to keep ty with us until the life flight came. 3 hours later ty was flown to the grand junction hospital and stayed for almost two weeks. many family members and friends were able to make it down which was so needed, dave made the flight within 20 min of my phone call and was there so give a blessing just before ty went into surgery. how forever grateful i will be. tyler is quite lucky, came out of the hospital with many broken ribs, broken clavicle, scapula and a few staples in the skull. his lungs were both punctured, collapsed, bleeding and now after fighting pneumonia for the past ten days he is feeling much better. ty has a ways to go on the road to recovery but is strong and already back to work.. my husband is here with me and life is good. thanks for all the prayers, phone calls, flowers, food and messages.. we love you all and couldn't have asked for more loving family and friends. here is a pict of ty in the ICU, looking pretty banged up. one of the people who was there that day took a few picts of the whole accident, i will get them up soon.

I LIVE IN THE GHETTO

so it all started last summer when i had flower pots on my front step, then one day i came home and hmmmm, missing pot of flowers.? strange i know, who would do this? then in jan, missing item #2.. when in mexico with the fam i bought this awesome wall hanging, it was like half moon, half sun painted colorful and brought lots of joy to the eye. but... its gone who would come and take something from my porch?. so after two things missing i was like okay, i live in the ghetto.. no, i was wrong.. then about three weeks ago, tys bike... vanished.. we probably should have had it locked up, but its just been sitting there for the past 6 months and no disturbance..well we learned our lesson.. ghetto... but today i must say is the ULTIMATE display of the word GHETTO... i wake up around 6:30.. the pups have to go out, (we are watching nats dog harley).. i open the door, go to sit on the porch to wait.. but to my suprise, nothing is gone only a MAN is there sleeping on my porch, covered in a blanket (which is the dogs) just laying there... i had to look again, what.. a man sleeping on my porch! i yell to ty.. "ty, ty, theres a man on our porch!" ty comes runnin, looks at the man, hes just laying there staring at us, hes like man you got to leave.. so the man gets up, ty starts small talk, telling him its getting warmer, hope he had a nice sleep..i was like uhhh... tyler and man has been sleeping on our porch! anyway, its sounds funny now but i was totally freakin out... GHETTo! and where was maya? shes supposed to be our attack dog but did she attack? no... just wagged her little tail. after he left ty felt bad and thought we should have invited him in for some food, i dont know.. im still a little weirded out about the whole thing... so yes, we officiallly live in the ghetto.. dont get me wrong, i love our little house and the location, there is just a few things i would change if i could.. i guess thats what i get for living in the city...

we had a bridal shower for natalie..lots and lots of delicious food and thanks to deb these awesome aprons! thanks deb! btw, natalie is getting married on july 12, its a destination wedding, destination unknown...all we need is a swimsuit and passport...ahhh cant wait!


so here we are at the RACE FOR THE CURE, the past three years deb, natalie and i have walked the walk.. ty joined us this year and what a great cause this is.. here we are sporting pink surrounded by thousands also rockin pink, i love it!
