Life is good

I decided that my job is sooo chill, on Friday I took the little guy up Millcreek canyon with Maya for a hike, the air was chilly and the colors are starting to peak, I made the decision then and there that my job ROCKS!


I looked in the rear view and Maya was just starting at me, how could you not want this little thing in your back seat? She is so adorable!

Last weekend we went up to Heber for a little camp out with the fam, ate some food, chilled around the fire talking nonsense, had a dance party in the cabin.. ya know, the typical family gathering


I had to laugh, Caylee was drawing as we were sitting around the fire and she turned to Aleece and said, "mom im really scared".. Look at the picture she was drawing.. The bear has ginormous claws! Funny Funny

M and D... now that Trina left I think the parents are secretly psyched to be alone, 30 something years later..

Here are a few of the photos from this past weekend, it was super fun to see some friends from Boulder. Its always a good thing to take a weekend off with the friends and see good tunes, sleep in the mountains, eat lots of fatty foods and sing to old songs 5 deep in a civic....

this was during the opening band the second night, Ghostland Observatory. They are rockstars for sure. They put on a pretty funny display of lights and smoke.. and the lead singers dance moves... sheesh, I should take lessons. Is it not the coolest venue ever?

There was a point on the drive when there was nothing else to eat but KFC or Burger King.. It was a last resort, I promise!

STS9, RED ROCKS!

This weekend (team gecko/send) and unnamed, undesignated friends from slc went to Boulder to see sound tribe play for two nights at red rocks ampitheather in morrsion colorado. there is alot that could be said about the shows, how ridiculously groovified, headified, mystified, squishyfied,and absolutely SICK they were so we included a video of them playing peaceblaster 68', which is the title track on their new album. this video gives an awesome representation of their light show and the background redrocks provides. we have some silly photos we'll add tomorrow or the next day from the trip. sound tribe has been a favorite band of team gecko's for many years and we have travelled all over the western states to noodle it up with them, make sure to watch the whole video because it's awesome (it might be advantageous to let it download onto our blog before watching it so it doesn't stop if your connection isn't ultra fast, just let it play and turn off the sound for 5 minutes) !

Trina left for NYC yesterday for a few months of fun.. Ty and I went to dinner with Jeff and Trina before she left.. Seriously it was a funny time. We started doing a photo shoot and it quickly led to some random horse face shot that was killing us with laughter. We are a sexy bunch...

Today we headed up the canyon for a hike... the skys were a bit cloudy and when we started no rain... the parking lot was empty and we thought peeps were crazy for not being up there..soon enough the sky began to darken and the thunder started to roll..

We thought we might snuggle under a tree and wait it out.. ty is waiting patiently

After sitting under a tree for five min, the mega ultra un un rain started.. i mean snow bops

we wanted to go a bit further so we dashed for the next big tree.. bad move, the delicious moisture kept coming, we had to bail.. we were freezing and unprepared for the storm of the century
