In My Pond..

Life is pretty good when you get to wake up to this.....

And then spend all day doing this.....

Last week we got home from our three week vacation..
Its was fab.
Got some good family time in..
and friend time in..
but mostly we got some much needed mountain time in...

Thank goodNESS the weather in Missouri has cooled down!
Now back to school for Ty and poolside for me!

Utah we have missed you

heat wave baby...

We are hot today. Its pretty much too hot to even be at the pool. We attempted that about and hour ago and boy oh boy, we had to leave. (plus it was pretty nasty dirty especially after a bird came and dropped his number right next to us.) Even the concert in the park tonight is cancelled because of the heat. Oh Missouri... So we are just hangin out..

The Cardinals played the Phillies. It was a sweet game. The stadium was pretty sweet too. Cardinals are number 1. I am a fan.

Lake of the Ozarks.

Last weekend we headed a few hours away to the Lake of the Ozarks. TJ and Ansley have a family home down there right on the lake, it was super awesome. We went hiking, ate some great food and laughed a lot! Thanks friends it was super duper fun. Having a little throwing contest... Grapes to the dock... Yes, we were all sore the next day.. even Ty.

The boys played in the water all day, diving, jumping doing the usual ninja stuff into the water.. It was kinda nasty water so the moms and babes stuck to the pool.

The views from the deck were awesome. On Sunday a nasty storm rolled though which led to the tornado sirens going off. It was kinda freaky. For a second I though I was going to die.. Haha.

First 4th of July here in St.Louis, we figured we better hit up the parade. It was long and interesting... We got lots of candy...No taffy though, is that a Utah thing?

It was actually really cool to experience a parade in a larger city, lots of randomness going on.


Lyla was just so dang cute, some man handed out flags and her little hands just held on to those flags for a good hour.

So after the parade there was an airshow right under the St. Louis Arch, it was pretty radical.

I pretty much love the 4th, def missed the fam though.

When in Utah my parents and I went for a sail on the Great Salt Lake. The weather was so nice so we grabbed some to-go and headed out.

Little Lyla just loved helping grandpa.My parents are such cute little sailors, it was pretty entertaining watching them man the boat. The boat is full of all the hip sailor gear, snacks and sailing games for the wee ones, pretty fun I must say.
