Everyone deserves MUSIC!!!

The last week has felt pretty eventful. Last weekend we made the trek to Salmak to visit Ariel and Thane, went to the movie, made it up to see some Sundance tunes.. (and Micheal Phelps... hes strange..) This week we headed to PC to see Micheal Franti play on Main St. Next day headed back to PC to see the Aerial World Cup.. Busy week of driving up to PC right?. yeah, I know...


Milan and I chillen in Deer Valley, if you look really hard you can see the skier in the air doing some 360-backwards-flip insane jump... Those people skiers are crazy..

Coleman, Ty and I bundled in PC to see Franti.. It felt rather nice to be outside seeing music..

What a unique day today was in American history. Whether you voted for Barack or not, which I hope you all did, this was a truly beautiful moment for a black American to finally become president and show the world that our country truly is full of hope. Hopefully you all watched the speech today but if you did not you should. It was very good

Birthday morning... he was too tired to get out of bed to open his presents so I brought them to him in bed... draped with a new shirt while holding an avalung.. apparently those things are to keep you breathing in case of an avalanche... lets just hope he never has to use it..

Texas Roadhouse... mmm, so so delicious.. Ty had to straddle this lovely seat while the crew sang happy birthday. he was a bit embarrassed(look at his face), especially when the boys talked the crew into doing it again...

The boys are ready for some MEAT!!! (fyi, don't ever and I mean EVER try to go to Texas ROadhouse on a Friday night with a group of twelve... eyeyeyeye...)

Mother and Ash decided to get a little creative and make a cake resembling Half Dome.. Ty is pointing to the little climber, it tasted delicious too! Nice work girls....T is now the big 27....Birthdays are great eh?...

While the air has been nasty we needed to get out and enjoy some real fresh air.... MillCreek always seems to do the job..

Mozarts Grand Piano Concert

Last weekend we headed down to Abravanel Hall for the symphony. It was super impressive, im pretty sure the last time I was at Abravanel was for my HS graduation and the last time I went to the symphony was hmmm, who knows.. anyhow it turned out to be a grand event.

Brrrrr... its been a super cold last couple of days but with the blue skies we couldn't resist spending our time in the mountains... Up Millcreek with the little pup...

Me, Ty, Emily and Will up at Alta, I'm pretty sure my toes, fingers plus my face had frost bite.... The boys were so sweet to spend the day with their ladies on the beginner slopes... Nothing beats hot chocolate and french fries after a cold day of skiing...

So I really have the most sweetest dog... for Christmas she got lots and lots of new toys,, all with squeakers., so funny. she just romps around playing with one toy and then another.. I tell ya she makes Ty and I smile so much!

Last weekend we had some friends over for a dinner party. It seemed to be the hot year for a ultra cheesy sweater party, we had to join... people showed up in some pretty good attire... Here a few of the good ones...

Ten days and counting...

So life has been a bit crazy the last couple of weeks.. we finally got our tree up and before ya know it we will be taking it down, sheesh, this Christmas time just really goes by so fast.. we have 2 of the 5 parties down, one more on Thurs and two on Saturday... on Sat we did the progressive dinner, it turned out to be a pretty fun one.. we made lots and lots of sushi, I'm pretty sure we even got most or all of the nieces to try a piece.. they were pretty tasty.. We even talked Will into playing Santa, it was hilarious! unfortunately we have no pictures, it all happened to fast and it was too funny to even think about getting the camera out.... So after Friday I am done with finals, work and will be watching the View, sleeping in and eating pancakes every day! I cant wait!!!! Ty is wrapping up all he has to do with applying to Law School, which is such a relief... He's now psyched about enjoying his early Christmas present... skiii party!! LET IT SNOW!!!

Headed to Missouri for Thanksgiving.... It turned out to be pretty entertaining.. we did LOTS of shopping, actually Im pretty sure thats all we did.. We did the typical turkey dinner, watched some football and played a few "family" games. The Nelson crew had a pretty good time making fun of each other, talking about childhood memories and most of all eating.. and eating.. and eating...
Deb and Laney took us to this delicious.. ,,I mean nasty tea shop.. apparently they love this place, its called BOBA.. Its any sort of fruity juice, smoothie or hot drink filled with these small, gooey, sticky balls of weirdness that stick in your teeth.. I think it comes from Japan.. strange but worth trying..

We went to this shopping town, St. Charles, Its right on the Missouri River, cute, old and full of Christmas stores... wow.. did we find some treasures..!!

We went and toured the Anheiser Busch brewery, here is one of the Clydesdale's, beautiful horses.. ya know, the ones you see in the commercials..Look how humongous his hoofs are!???

Missouri has some pretty cool walking/running trails,.. after eating as much as we did it was almost necessary we burned some calories.. in the car ride back.

Its shortly before 4am.. yes, we were waiting in line at Kohls for some hot deals..

Natalie, Deb and Chas were up late looking at the ads and making a list of where and what time to get the best deals.. It was a shopping adventure!

THis is pretty much what Ty, Nate and I did for 45 min while the others were shopping and waiting in line.. This store had some top notch massage chairs..

Thanks Laney and Deb for the trip.. We had a lot to be thankful for this year espically Tys speedy recovery and strength.. Families we love you and thanks Anglea for taking care of our little girlfriend..
