Dreams do come true !

after salivating over bucksking gulch for quite some time now, we were finally able to get down inside our continents largest western desert irrigation canal. For those who don't know about buckskin gulch, it is twelve miles in length with only one escape route @ mile 6, unless you have radical climbing skills, with walls reaching 500 feet on both sides. Here is the initial place of descent into the canyon, the only point of escape unless you go six miles. Totally Awesome !





We were able to descend this canyon with will & emily, and paul & lena, well we think that his name is paul, but not entirely sure who he is, we do know he and his wife are from another country, this inquiry was speculated into all weekend, and the conclusions drawn were that he knows some outrageously cool/unique/possibly painful/ice cream consequential hand shake that you need to know in order to transcend into the cosmos of cerainty. Soooooo, we tried to feed him ice cream all weekend which turned out to be totally awesome. Here is the crew in one of the wider sections of the canyon.



of course maya found the water, and loved the mud, here she is awaiting a rock to be thrown in the water, she has a one tracked mind. Here she is sending one of the crossings.

Here is another photo of the narrow sections of the canyon, so amazingly quite and still, no wind, not much sunshine, and lots of catepillars.


It was amazing to see the debri that is left from the flash floods that run through this canyon, some of which reaches about twenty feet off the gulch floor, which is kinda scary but makes you want to watch a torrent rush through there from the top.


People pay money for this don't they? so I had to try it out. There was alot of mud from the previous weeks, and it was so fun to play in.



This was an all around ridiculously fun weekend with some close friends. Everyones lives are so incredibly busy right now that the times that we get to hang out with our friends are exhausting because everyone is so excited. It was especially fun to laugh for the entire weekend, which becomes exhausting after two days but well worth the adventure. On sunday we went and swam in lake powell near the waweep marina on lone rock beach to cool down which felt wonderful, sorry no pics. Lindsay and I are so lucky to have such wonderful friends who are willing to stuff six people in a car and head down to the desert for the weekend. Thanks Ya'll

Tyler decided to join Deb and I for a pedicure the other day.. The little oriental lady talked him into getting a "design", said it would be "so hot".. Don't his toes look fabulous? Honestly I was kinda jealous when we were done, I have to say they are pretty rockin.

Well, as you can imagine gecko's don't respond well to the rain, especially the slippery mud. Friday night the team slept in the car under a nasty thunder storm, woke up to the mud and impassible road, and their longtime dreams of doing buckskin gulch soaked.

What is going on with this weekend?

A song to appease the gods and persuade zeus to let the sun to shine, although we had no spectuacular libations which to pour out, nor any herbivorous quadrapeds to grab and slaughter, the sun with her rosey red fingers never arrived. After waiting at the BLM ranger station with all the rest of the poor suckers that got shut down, we had to make a crucial decision. We called up to escalante and they too were having similar weather patterns, so we drove to St. George to see the Nelson families new house (which I forgot to take a photo of, but totally awesome), and hike in Zion National Park, which was a perfectly legit backup plan. Meanwhile, on the way, we visited a place called the coral pink sand dunes state park/ redneck monestary on our way. It was actually awesome minus the obnoxious fourwheelers, which I love listening to. Its kindof what I envision satan's lair being like? Just sayin

We had a hillarious quarky vibe rockin the entire trip, it turned out to be pretty dang super galactically centering.

everybody knows that butterflies and flowers make everything better, so once we got to zion saturday morning to hike the east rim to cable mountain all was well, the sun was shining, we went 15 3/4 miles and we both got sun burnt.


We have always had a terrific experience at Zion, we decided to avoid the masses of people on labor day weekend we would get into the back country and go back to where I proposed to Lindsay two years ago, we forgot how far the hike really was, but didn't really care until we had to turn around in view of our final destination.

This is a real picture, I really can turn the world counterclockwise, I know its pretty radical, I can't tell anyone else how though.



It was probably one of the most beautiful times we have spent in zion, the weather was absolutely perfect, the flowers were out, and we only saw two groups of people all day.

After the hiking we finished both days with dips in the virgin river outside zion and the reserviors near coral canyon in st. george.

Life is good, real good..

The Nelsons are rockin it... this past weekend I couldn't help but think of what the Nelsons were going through a year ago. Life is good and we both couldn't be happier to be alive. My H is healthy and strong again, I have a babe in the belly and little Maya is as sweet as ever... life really doesnt get much better. We celebrated life this past weekend with friends, family and the glorious mountains.

Last weekend while Ty was in recovery mode, we headed up Millcreek and had lunch.. Thank you Jimmy Johns, so delish. Maya was lovin the river, her favorite thing is to fetch rocks and sticks and she seems to end up with the largest ones.. Heres a few from her adventures... (I know we are crazy about her, so many picts)

Mens best Friends, can't live without em'

Arising out of bed this friday was an awful suprise to the most intense pain I have thus experienced, in the boy who occupies the left of my abdoment, who is usually the larger, brainier of the two. This pain ended linds and I in the emergency room of LDS hospital, twenty minutes later I found myself (and my boys) under the knife due to their strangulated present state. Without our expedience I would have been always depending on the hole-in-one for the remainder of our children. Whew, I am ok, the surgery was quick, the pain minimal, the laughter loud, and the medical bill on its way. I will spare all of you the actual photo of my stitches, but this might give an idea of what went down.

Earths day..

It all begins with this...

This pregnancy is controlling my l.i.f.e.! Yes, I am chubbin out.. This picture might exaggerate my belly a bit, at least I hope it does if not I am one big mamma! So here I am a little over three months, who would have ever known pregnancy would do this to a lady.. mood swings(tys hoping the swings stop soon).. food yums and hates, tiredness.. I think its all under-credited.. All those past prego ladies out there, I do apologize now for not realizing what you have been through.. Well done.

My poor D o G... yesterday she went in for a few shots.. (5).. well, came home ate dinner..blah blah blah... today she woke up with quiet an itch, left for work, walked home with the two little ones and there I found my little pup with a swollen face, she had vomited a few times and just didn't seem normal. So I called the vet, said bring her in immediately... She ended up staying at the vet all day, she had some crazy reaction to the meds yesterday.. She was close to death, yes,,, ... I just said death, her airway was almost completely blocked from the swelling..



Shes doing fine now, but still a little swollen.. Have you ever seen a dogs face swollen, pretty wierd. In the stressfulness of the moment, TY and I couldn't help but laugh, she looked pretty funny

I do love the spring/summer days, although today is a bit hot for me.., Thank goodness we have banana and rootbeer flavored twim pops!

Fam picts from Easters... it was a good one, everyone looked dashing in their new spring attire,(ladies love pink) everyone made yummmy food but most of all I loved that my H bought me some sexy new shirts from Anthro..
